Fall 2022 Learn To Skate Details

7 week session starts on Tuesday, September 27th, and Saturday, October 1st.

Pre-registration and payment is required for all sessions.

All lessons are 45 minutes in length and include 30 minutes of group instruction and 15 minutes of monitored practice. Lessons will be held on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Masks are optional in the facility and on the ice for everyone. If you are not feeling well, have COVID symptoms, or have been exposed to a COVID-positive person recently, we request you stay home.

Tuesday Lessons - Dates: 9/27 - 11/8
5:30 pm – 6:00 pm - Advanced Skills
6:00 pm – 6:15 pm - Practice what you’ve learned, all levels
6:15 pm - 6:45 pm - Basic Skills

Saturday Lessons - Dates: 10/1 - 11/12
11:45 am – 12:15 pm - Advanced Skills
12:15 pm – 12:30 pm - Practice what you’ve learned, all levels
12:30 pm – 1:00 pm - Basic Skills

Classes Offered

Beginners and Basic Skills
Snowplow (introductory class for 4-5 year olds)
LTS 1, 2, 3-4 (Ages 6-12)
Teen/Adult (Teens 13 and up)

Advanced Skills
LTS 5, 6, Pre-Free Skate
Free Skate
Advanced Teen/Adult (Teens 13 and up with skating experience)


Learn to Skate Lesson Fees

  • 1x/week $168; add $31.50 for skate rental, if needed
  • 2x/week $322; add $63 for skate rental, if needed

Learn To Skate Registration Fee: $30 per skater, annually
Due once per season (9/22 through 5/23) to cover insurance, administration and materials.
Due for all skating students this session.

Add-A-Class Option – $24/class plus skate rental, if needed.
This option is for our once a week skaters wishing to add an occasional extra lesson.  Please contact sk8eugene@gmail.com for this option and include the date(s) you would like to add.

How to register:

1. Click the icon below. Select your option(s) and checkout. Please note: You will need to register each skater individually.

2. Register and pay for your class. Please note that we are unable to take payments & registrations at the rink. Please pay online. No refunds for no-shows, but we'll work with you to try and provide make-up lessons during the session

3. Read, sign, and submit these REQUIRED FORMS each season

2) Injury Waiver and Code of Conduct 2022-23 online forms

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU COME TO THE RINK

  • Check-in with a Club Representative upon arrival. ideally 15-20 minutes before your lesson time
  • Pick-up rental skates, if needed (remember to return them after class)
  • We recommend leaving personal belongings with someone you trust or don't bring them with you
  • Please come dressed in skating attire - dress in layers, gloves, hats, helmets, etc.
  • Bring your own water bottle
  • We encourage you to regularly visit The Rink Exchange’s website and read their policies and procedures for the most up to date information. (Here)
