Progress & Polish

This workshop is designed for early figure skaters who want to strengthen their fundamental skills and refine their on‑ice technique. Through focused instruction on edges, turns, posture, and control, skaters will build a solid technical base while also polishing the details that elevate their overall performance. With supportive coaching and plenty of guided practice, participants will leave feeling more confident, capable, and ready for the next step in their skating journey.

Designed for Basic 4/Adult 4 through Free Skate levels.

Moves with Music

Tuesday, May 26th   5:45-6:45 pm

This workshop invites skaters to explore the artistry of moves in the field by connecting edge quality, body control, and flow directly to musical interpretation. Skaters will learn how to match their turns, extensions, and transitions to rhythm and phrasing, building confidence in both technical precision and expressive performance. The session focuses on creating seamless movement patterns that feel as good as they look, helping each skater develop a stronger sense of timing, style, and on‑ice presence.

Designed for skaters currently working on Moves in the Field and those that are Free Skate 6 and above that want to learn.

$40 for current EFSC members
$50 for non-members

End of Season Ice Games

Saturday, May 30th   11:15-12:30

Join us for fun, friendship, and celebrating progress—a true on‑ice field day to wrap up the season. Skaters will enjoy a variety of games on ice, creative challenges, relay‑style activities, and playful skill stations designed to keep everyone moving and laughing. It’s a chance to let loose, try new things, cheer each other on, and enjoy the joy of skating. Bring on the bucket races!

Must be a current LTS USA or EFSC member to participate.

AAA  (Axel, Aspire, Advanced)
An advanced training program designed for those that have passed the Learn to Skate Free Skate levels and are ready for the next challenge in their skating journey. Emphasis will be on structured training, bridging figure skating with competitive goals, focusing on core skills of jumps, spins, and edges. This program will follow US Figure Skating curriculums, incorporating elements from the Axel curriculum and Aspire program with a customized course created by the coaches to provide pathways for skill development for testing and competition while fostering athleticism, technique, and confidence in a supportive group setting.

Led by Coaches Violette Browner & Mikayla Goodi

Participants must be current EFSC members and have passed Free Skate 6 (or by coach approval)

Schedule:
Saturdays 7:00 – 8:00 am
7-7:15 off-ice warm up and technique; 7:15 – 8:00 On-ice training

Starts January 17^th and runs for 2 consecutive 6-week sessions

$300 for each 6-week session (payment plans are available)

Dates:
Spring session: March 14^th ; April 4^th, 18^th, 25^th ; May 2^nd, 9^th

Showcase Eugene (team performance group)

An exciting multiple-level performance group combining a little synchro, a little theater-on-ice and a lot of fun.

Open to skaters of all ages that have passed Basic 5/Adult 5 skills and are interested in working on a performance receiving instruction in skill-building, choreography and performance arts with elements of team and show skating. The group will work on an extended performance for the EFSC spring show.

Led by Coaches Alex McCaslin & Elaine Pruett

Participants must be current EFSC or Learn to Skate members. 

This group will need a minimum of 15 skaters to cover costs and to be effective as a multi-tiered performance group.

Saturdays 8:00 – 9:00 am
8-8:45 on-ice for skill-building and choreography; 8:45 – 9:00 off-ice for blocking and technique

12-week session, culminating with the performance at the spring show on May 16^th

$480 for 12-week session. Costuming will be additional based on performance, how many are in the group, parent volunteers to help create, etc. Payment plans are available.

Dates: January 17^th, 24^th, 31^st ; February 21^st, 28^th ; March  7^th, 14^th ; April 4^th, 18^th, 25^th ; May 2^nd, 9^th
Performance is May 16th
